They are like a Lithium battery. they give 100% all the way to the end. that is great if you are cranking with it, but no so for a trolling motor. If i use mine a lot, i can feel it getting weak and make adjustments to the location and conditions i am in to finish the trip. The Optima is DONE when its done, and no warning. my Wal-mart batteries are lasting me 4-5 years.
X2! Usually get 4+ years out of a wm battery.
