Ya'll go find this one. Dstreet and I spent most of the day sinking tops, and caught fish off em yesterday evening. I love the winter!
I told Darrell it was a persimmon tree. He said it wasn't and when I asked why, he said "there ain't no persimmons on it." Don't know what I'm gonna do with that boy.
Uh, Darrell kinda has point! :Rofl
Here's a unique one I had while idling up coal.......

Yes that is!
Attachment 192665Cat huntn today.
This was not taken near clear creek, but I know the area you are speaking of.
I was on Kaw today. Was headed home when I spotted this wad of shad with fish on it.
The crappie and sand bass were in 17-23fow so I suspect these are cats or hybrids?

Here is the edge of a brush pile Dstreet and I sunk last Wednesday.
Any big ones? Not used to looking at one of those lowrance screens.
Fished it right at dark Redge and caught 10 off it quick. Didn't pull any bigguns.
I wish I had taken a screen shot of the fish we caught today. Ask Odie and Dstreet. It was unbelievable. 27 ft of water and solid fish from 15 ft. to the bottom. No structure other than rocks and very little brush.
CrapA we like pics!!!
I was too busy fighting the wind to take pics!
I know about fighting that wind!!
any ideas? I tried jigs and minnows with no luck.
That thick and shallow I think I might cast a net just to resolve the mystery. Pretty sure my head might explode otherwise.
I have seen that myself and those fish like that are hard to catch unless you have brush, or a ledge, or rocks around. I dont know why other than maybe they need to feel hid so they can ambush the baitfish. IDK EB
This looks a lot like what Allen and I saw on the nav channel yesterday. We saw this a couple times except it was way thicker. We tried fishing it but no dice.
I was thinking the same thing yesterday too except using a landing net.
I seen a couple crappie.com guys on the navigation channel yesterday was you with them nip
I was in crappiepappa's boat in the oxbow north of 51. Ft Gibson Boy and Jonny Shad were in there with us. Wasn't anything shaking in it. Told Allen we needed to head north to the next one but we were limited on gas. That sounds like the one you went to and landed the 11. Pulled off, got gas and went to Gibson. Managed a few from there but nothing to write home about.
Yea I seen yall I was in the silver skeeter. I've been doing pretty good on gibson
those are crappie sized fish. I am like EB, those are hard to catch without any structure or shad around. I would call those 10" gizards. Here latly the drum have been taking me to school on my electronics. While gathering bait for my cat huntn, I have netted many drum, that i was confident was large gizards. not true. Hold you head high and look for your graph to look like Slip-cork. that is when the action begins.
Dstreet said this was bait..
...
.....and then this happened
I'd say crappie lol nice catch
You can't belive a thing he says!!! LOL You know those fish did not come off that screenshot!! Come to think of it Im pretty sure we didnt get a bite off of it that screen shot unless that was from Friday.
TC, theres no better fish finder in the world than a cast net. LOL and if you catch big crappie in the net your suppose to throw them back ;). EB
