Ciller do you add to your ponds good supply (fatheads, perch) yearly? Or is it self sustaining?

I added a thousand bluegill 10-12 years ago and now I put in 30 lbs of breeder size pond shiners every 2 years. I also feed the cats for fun or to show them off but not on a regular basis- go through 200-400 lbs a summer. Now and then I buy a big box of crawdads at an Asian Market and throw them in around the water iris or other cover. I don't even know if they survive but they sure look cool while they last.
