    Default CrappieCiller's acron

    Well the ol Acron did not fall far from the tree Ciller! Your boys were a hoot at the Burn Camp. Im not sure they did not bring this revolving blue to the weigh in! They told a good story, and that poor little girl was doing the best she could to retell how that fish was caught to win the trophy! Those boys had him weighed and measured. The fishes sides looked like a road map from the tape being drug down his side so much. but the funny thing was, the hole in his lip. Guys, do not feel sorry for the boys. We caught this fish 2 years ago in Oolagah, Ciller took him home and put him in his pond. they catch him about once a month. Well, Zeek caught him Friday and brought him along like a little kid in 2nd grade for show-n-tell. Well, guess who won big fish at camp! Zeek even slipped, and told another guy, that "ol blue" (they have even named him) lost 8 oz on the trip to Hudson! here is a picture of when Ciller caught him, then his buddy, now "ol blue" is a traveling circus! hahaha

    Once he gets a chance to rest up a little look for ol blue at the noodling contests in the tri state area. He kind of seems to like his rock star status and the camera- if you look close you can see him wink and kind of poke out his lip like Angelina Jolie when cameras are around. Maybe we better change his name to Miss Blue.

    There you go Ranger. If you look behind Zeke you will see where all those huge blacks we caught got released last fall. And Ledge, we actually put two of those huge blues in there to compete for who could eat the most slabs without exploding. We are hoping that bluegill and hybrids swim slower than crappie. Otherwise we are going to bring Miss Blue and Bluebell back to The Ark for release into the hot tub. The 3rd monster from that trip went into our neighbors little bitty pond as a sort of time delayed practical joke. So far lots of broken lines but no sightings of Moby Blue in Julian's Pond.

    Last Saturday the acorns were at it again. Caught this guy in Dad's pond. We have since trained him to come eat live chickens out of our hands. Ladies and Gentleman may I introduce to you next years burn camp champion and the worthy successor to ol' blue, we call him lil' blue. Destined to be a champion when he was caught by ciller at only 4 lbs and transplanted into the hatchery. Now weighing in at just over 16 lbs we are confident with a healthy diet of chicken and any small children that dare near the waters edge, lil' blue will dominate in 2015. Good luck gentleman.

    And this is the son I was hoping would teach me how to post pictures. Well, I've got 11 grand kids- maybe one of them can figure it out Zeke! (-;

    I am amazed at the growth rate of blue cats in a one acre pond. I put that one in there less than 3 years ago as a 4 lb. fish tops. ( This was before I assembled my perfect arsenal of weights and measurement devices but I have a good eye) And look at it now! I hope lil blue is getting fat on small green carp and not big beautiful BC game fish.
