Before I blew up I quickly saw that you all are using Bonehead on spinning reels and maybe that makes a difference. I had my first experience with it double dipping jigs with Ledge a few weeks back. After the second hook set and two jigs broke off I had to borrow one of Ledge's rods because both of mine had new bonehead 6lb on both my bait casting reels and I couldn't keep breaking off

Is Bonehead mono a copolymer? Vicious panfish is and I have been using PLine CX Premium in 8 lb and above. Really like it. I've tried the Bonehead braid and the 7' rod and they are good products - just not my favorite. Because of that I have been reluctant to try the mono. It's about the same price point as the CX Premium and way more than Vicious. I always buy in bulk rolls and haven't seen any Bonehead that way. I might pick up a spool just to try it but I don't change from things I really like very easily.

Well my initial attempt to spool the reel over the weekend resulted in a little line twist at the lake last night. Ended up letting all the line out in the water while trolling and then reeled it back up. The line twist came from when I was trying to spoo the reel and every now and then the spool flipped over due to the line getting caught in the groove. Might have to try the glue idea.

I had the same idea only using Dap or wood filler etc. as these might shrink less that the glue.

Heck I use scotch tape and works great. Pc on each side. I use bonehead exclusively 6lb on cast n drag poles and nothing lighter than 10 while double dipping. You should expect a 6lb line to break with a 10' rod jerking for a hook set with 2 jigs. I do use it though with a single jig swimming around standing timber and no problems. I used vicious before I feel in love with bonehead since it's stronger and doesn't fray when drug across a limb......I am not trying to sale nothing just giving you my observation on a product.......Ranger

Maybe I need to take better care taping it as I just stuck some painters tape on it quickly when I tried. Next time I'll make sure the tape is on there smoothly.

As far as I know it is mono as that is what it states. Some of the smoothest line I have ever felt.

I got the orange line. Not as bright orange as I wanted but bright enough. Will be getting the hi vis next time.

Mark, thanks for the reply; however,Floyd (and myself) were wanting to know if Bonehead line was a mono OR a copolymer. Sorry for the confusion, but that was what I was referring to. I guess I am guilty of a thread hijack-my bad.
