Yes, definitely have noticed this at Thunderbird this year. Caught well over 40 in the past week and 2 have been 10"+. Frustrating!

Hey ya'll. I've noticed that on Skiatook and Kaw that the fish have been smaller than I usually catch in the spawn. Has anyone else noticed this where you fish?

Lots of smaller fish at Carl Blackwell, too.
Couldn't really say as we still have ice on the lakes up here in northern Wisconsin. Open water season started last Saturday. I'll be down there in two weeks to find the big guys for you folks, lol.

Speaking only of Kaw, the lake is normally up and down from spring rains. The rising water seems to occur right at spawn, ruining it.
The last couple years of drought has kept the water level constant, so we have had good spawns, hence the smaller fish.
The big crappie are still there.
We have caught a lot of small fish here on the big E also...we fish anywhere from Coal creek to the very north end
