Default They Moved Back Into Deeper Water

This last storm system just killed the shallow bite where I fish. I went from catching 20-30 per day to almost nothing. I suspected they moved back to deeper waters and I noticed some guys in a boat fishing at depths of 8-12 feet catching large females about 60 feet from the bank. They were double-dipping jigs and doing really well. I suspect the crappie will move back in close to the bank over the weekend because the spawn isn't over. Half the females I cleaned 2 days ago still had eggs.

It killed the bite on the dam at Thunderbird. Two nights in a row it was on fire and then after the storm it was put out.

Yea Ranger, they started coming back in shallow yesterday and they're biting good again. The females I cleaned yesterday still had eggs. Next time you're in the area, give me a call.
