I honestly don't know, never fished either one, but I've heard good stories about Oologah over and over. Kaw might be better, but someone from that area would have to answer up on that question. They're both going to be hard pressed to beat Eufaula, sorry.

I would say Kaw. Lots and Lots of 2 pounders come out of Kaw in the spring and in the winter its not hard to go there and catch a ton of 1 pound crappie.

I fish both a lot, I gotta give it to Kaw. Its 2 hours and 15 min for me and I still go a lot. Whereas Oologah is just 45 min and its been hard to get excited about making that trip lately. I think the fishing has slipped a bit the last couple of years.

Oolagah has had quite a few lake turnovers the last couple of years. Lake was like 14' over several times.

Can someone direct me towards some good bank spots on kaw? I'm going to be working out that way in a couple weeks and might get a chance to get alittle fishing in

Man thats a tough lake to fish from the bank. You can try the boat launch area around pioneer park just south of Kaw city. Maybe access the creeks way up on the north end with a little bit of a walk.
