Fish the north end. Like way north in the creeks.
If you can't find them on the banks, find shad on your locator and jig them with a 1/8 ounce head and 1.5 -2 inch grub tail…...
Hold on tight…..those hybrids show up sometimes.

Recently moved from Dallas area and ready to get back on the Crappie. Skiatook is the closest lake to me. Is there good Crappie fishing there or should I go somewhere else?

Have you had a chance to get out on Skiatook this week? Any luck?
I fished it last night- bait shop was out of minnows….well they had the big 4 inch shiners. I bought a half pound for grins…..
Only caught a handful of fish on jig and 2 really nice crappie on those Moby Minnows. The fishing was slow and while there were a LOT of fishermen out, there was not a lot of catching.
They hit an 1/8 ounce with shad colored bobby garland. I also caught one on green/black and orange/ red.
If you try the jig, move it as slowly as possible. Good luck-
Yes, fished yesterday afternoon until dark. I also notice many boats but not many putting fish in the boat. I caught several large mouth and 1 crappie. However the crappie I caught was 14 inches. Water temp in the creeks was 65-66 degrees and around 63 on the main lake.
