Thread: Kerr tournament donations

I am asking for donations (again) of fish for our Okla Crappie Camp. We would like to have 50 to 60 more fish to supply our Sat night fish fry at camp. Redge has very graciously agreed to collect and filet the donated fish. I am sure he would welcome any help with the cleaning!

I didn't want to detract from the Oologah tournament, but since Kerr so closely follows, I wanted to get the request out as soon as I could.

Kudos to Redge! I hope someone can give him a hand with the fileting of the fish. I had fully planned on fishing the Kerr tournament and taking fish donations for the Crappie Camp. It was only recently I noticed the date of the tournament was April 19th. That day, nineteen years ago, was a very difficult day even for an old soldier like me. It began with a phone call from my son followed by a rush flight from Houston to OKC. Then I spent the next several weeks attending funerals, trying to take care of the families of my deceased coworkers and trying to bring my employees out of the shock of the Murrah Bldg. bombing. It was a life changing experience. I will be at our annual memorial service where I have read the names of our dead for several years. Nineteen years has passed all too quickly but it will still be a day of agony for the families of the deceased. I hope everyone has a great day and catches lots of fish but I also hope you will remember the families of those who lost loved ones that day.
