Depending on what application your using it should matter. Easiest Knot to tie to a jig is the improved chinch Knot. Worked for years for me and is good and strong.......like Floyd I have and do use both knots you mentioned and have had no problems........Ranger

Just ordered 8lb and 17 lb bonehead mono along with some soft plastics. I will post later and see if like them or not.

I've been using the Bonehead Braid 12# Hi Vis for a couple weeks, works great, only problem I have had is the color does not last ever long. After a couple trips the line is almost white in the length I'm using. PowerPro does the same thing not sure if it lasts any longer before it fades out. But the Bonehead is still a very good braid. Just installed some of their Mono Hi Vis, have not used it yet but very impressed with want I see so far. Very strong with very little memory, should work great on my spinning reels.

I like 12 lb Silver Thread on my Huckabee rods. The copolymer has a little more stretch than mono, and I think it's easier to snap free from snags. It also seems to hold up better in the brush than mono.
