I think I'm about to get an earfull

Got home last night at 10:30 after dropping Bobo off at his house, iced down the fish, showered and hit the sack. It was a long day of 12 hours at shop starting at 3:30 AM. As I was chugging Folgers this morning trying to erase the fog in my head, the wife tells me she and her girlfriend have decided the wife needs to join crappie.com. She thinks it's a great idea. So the subject came up about a handle for her. While I totally agree joining this forum would be good for her because this sight can teach her more about slabbin than I will ever be able to and she'll be involved in something that I totally enjoy, my mouth bout hit the floor when she suggested her handle be......Fishinwidow! I guess she thinks I'm going too often? (I didn't think you could do that).

Long story short, I'm taking both of them Sunday morning. If I can get her bit maybe she will consider changing her handle, and mind frame, and I'll stay out of the doghouse. What do you think, mini vacation for her (or us), or do I bite the bullet, lay low and bide my time til spawn? Which starts when, about mid March?

Make them well aware of Rule #1, Bait your own hooks, Rule #2, No Screaming on the water, Rule #3 tie on your own baits. and most importantly, Rule #4, Sticking your rod tip in my face results in you being tossed overboard.

Hmmm, this may beyond the flowers and chocolates stage and into the "some serious shoes and purse stage". But I'm sure you can handle it!

how about fishinghoney for her handle? Or, a new boat with a large sun bathing deck might help!

I believe that that there must be Rules: If were in a mess of fish and the bite is hectic, rule #1, wife must remove her fish from her hooks, #2 Refer to rule #1

Personally I think you should invest in a Guided Crappie Trip so she could experience a day full if fun and catching fish instead of just sitting and watching a bobber. You might very well be money ahead. JUST SAYIN. LOL

Gotta agree Mark. When the weather warms that's what my plan is. Problem is I have to scratch when it itches in the meantime! LOL

Sounds like you've been hitting the gas too hard. Got to pump the brakes every now and then. I'd be fishing everyday if I could but I can't. Gots to take care of the home front 1st.
