Try bonehead braid. I got on my rod for about a month or more and it is way better. I does not really wrap around the tip.

Why? what problem's did you have with it? I've used Power Pro and really like it. Haven't used the Bonehead yet.

It is like a thread gets around rod, jigs and bird nest if other fisherman's fish gets into your line. I have also used the Power Pro slick and can not recommend it either. Spend your money on high priced braid or replacing some jigs or try the crappie stick to keep from hanging up.

Hmm never tried power pro on a spinning setup let alone crappie fishing but have used it on my baitcaster bass setup and never had any problems. I will be getting some bonehead soon though.

I'm convinced about the Bonehead stick guards. Now I have to convince my bookkeeper/money controller (aka the wife ) that I should be allowed more than $5 per month for fishing gear.

Yes I have, thats an easy fix too.....after you tie it and it slips down. Just re do the loop again and its double tied.

I use braid for just about everything not too much for straightening hooks when hung up but because I have confidence in it bringing fish in when I hook into bigger fish. My big thing that I find is a pain with it is if the wind is blowing very hard it seems to whip allot causing less sensitivity in the line. Even vertical fishing on windy days I try to hold rod tip close to water to avoid this. Anyone else feel like this is an issue in comparison to mono or is this all in my head?
