Default input on this idea for structure of a dock..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNgcfp81i_M I came across this on youtube.

I have been trying to decide on what type of structure to put under my dock this year. I live on Eufaula and last year was our first year owning a dock so this year I decided that I should make my spot more fish friendly. I'm looking at all the options and so far just hanging some trees with weights on the end seems like the direction I am leaning but I thought I might mix it up a little. I also thought about making some horizontal pvc structure for the deeper part of my dock ... any thoughts of imput would be great.

    Thanks

I remember Ranger saying to stay away from Cedar trees as they are too dense and will not allow large fish to use them for cover. I have thought about dropping some of the home made PVC "trees" in a couple of spots myself.

If I may ask, what part of the lake are you on?

If you have the dollars you could try the Honey Hole Tree by Pond King. (http://www.pondking.com/fish-habitat)

I guess everybody has their own idea of what works best. after listening to all the suggestions, I used both PVC and cedar trees. Before I put out the cedar, I thinned the trees by cutting out about I/3 to 1/2 of the branches. My dock seems to work very well (according to all the fisherman that fish it when I'm not there)I have approx. equal amounts of each under my dock

So what did you guys think of the chain idea that the video showed? I haven't seen anything like it on any of the message boards that i've looked at.
