Hey Gang...Just joined today and hoping to learn a lot! I live in Yukon, so I'll be fishing the lakes around OKC (or a reasonable drive) most of the time.
Crappie-fished a lot as a kid with my Grandfather and Uncles, but just recently started fishing seriously as an adult (I'm 43)...even bought a nicely loaded Tracker 16 ft aluminum boat a few months ago! I am looking for a Mentor or Mentors around the OKC area I can 'learn the ropes' from. My boat or yours, doesn't matter. Would like to learn techniques to make me a better slab-lander, and maybe get some guidance using my fish finders. I've put a lot of search-time in Google and YouTube, now I hope to find a live (or mostly alive) real person!
So if anyone ever wants or needs a fishing buddy, please let me know and maybe we can arrange some trips. I hope to eventually be a good tournament partner!![]()

Welcome Jon!!!! We are having a tournament on Kaw lake on Jan 18th. Find a partner and come fish. Meet some anglers from Ok and Kansas and maybe take home some winnings.
Welcome, Jon! I live in SW OKC but usually travel a little to fish. I am planning on hitting Draper lake and T'Bird some this spring. I prefer to go to RC Longmire and the Eufaula area as often as possible - I keep a small travel trailer at Eufaula. I'm retired so can usually break free to drop some jigs. If you get a chance to go and need someone with you just let me know. My email should be in my profile but PM will work also.

Glad to have ya. I moved from Yukon to Newalla 2 years ago. The lake I have had best luck on locally is T-Bird. Arcadia and Hefner has them but Arcadia will cost you an arm and leg to fish. Heard some good stuff about Draper but I hadn't fished it due to if being so low in years part. Last year it wasn't low though.
Welcome Jon. Your in for a good time on this forum. Bunch of good folks on here!
