Thread: late January

i will be traveling to Ok City the last week of January with my wife on a business trip for her. is there a place close by i might catch some crappie from the bank? thanks for any input. Jerry

There have been several reports of people slip-corking for Crappie from the dam at Lake Hefner. I have heard best success was usually when the wind is out of the north. I have no personal experience with this but from what I know that's probably your best chance near OKC. You might goggle Hefner slip-corking for more info.

Cardsfan55, I would try the heated dock at Arcadia in Edmond. It's just east of I35 on 15th St. The bite can be good early and late at that time of year. It will cost ~ $5.00 to go though the gate. The north/south east corner of the opening is usually the best.
