    Default Canton

Anyone fish it lately? I called yesterday and the ranger said you can get a boat in. Going to go try it out tomorrow, going to be different with a hole that's normally 15 feet almost out of the water. BTW, I may be by myself if someone is interested in going with me(starting early).

We fished it last week and launching is a breeze at Canadian. Lake down 12 feet. Careful on se side of ramp. Rocks about 40 feet out from ramp that will eat your prop.
We were hybrid and walleye fishing. Bite was good. 65 hybrids and 7 eyes. Deepest water was around 18 ft.
There is nice crappie in the lake also. Last year we pulled a lot out of there 1-2lb fish.

Sd_west...is there alot of trees or brush in there? Where is a good spot to target crappie if a person has never been on canton?

With the lake way down only the submerged brush is fishable. There is a few brush piles around the walkouts along the damn and some brush just to the right out from Canadian ramp. You can just work the breaks along the damn and catch quite a few or look along the drop offs for bait fish. lots of humps and drop offs in Canton.
