    Default my oologah report

Hey Oklahoma, I made it to your fine state over the weekend, fished a lake I have wanted to for long time, been Talking about it with Reeper, so I made the trip over, fished up the creek, down the creek,on the flats, in the brush,in sight of the Dam, out of site of the Dam, in the timber, on the rocks, by the bluffs, well you can tell we went all over the place, and the fish did not bite for us, but the food was great, Chatt and Reaper did real well putting up with me......... I shall return, my advice don't go after a 3 inch rain, and east wind and jet ski weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Thanks Oklahoma

Beagleman, glad you made it to OK! Who would have thought we would be having high water in July in OK? Sorry about the slim fish count but am thankful for the rain. Maybe next time..........

Chatt + Reaper = pandemonium. Screw fishin, just listening to those 2 cutting up would have been worth the trip. Throw Ranger amongst the 2 and you had best wear a pair of waders.........just sayin.

, just thought the pot needed stirring. I have not been able to fish much this summer due to work demands. The closest I might make it to water is mid Sept at Western Hills Lodge for a trade show.

Your way behind George. I can't think of one thing in life that's more important than fishing except GOD. It's time to take a few days off and head to the water if not to catch fish, just to unwind some....Good Luck George....and if you can't get away heck I will sacrifice, and fish some for you buddy...lol....Ranger

It was my first trip out in about 3 months. I truly enjoyed my time with beagle man and Chatt. T'was I that was entertained by them. Since I was what made the threesome, I volunteered 1st mate position for Chatt while fishing the back of the boat (save one time of sitting on the ice chest right behind Chatt and beagle).

What beagle man didn't tell you was this fish count was a two day total! He was feeling bad and left early on Sunday. Once I moved up front I actually got a bite and big fish of the trip possibly pushing a record breaking so-so 11"-12" and Chatt added another to the coffer. That was it. We saw fish several places but could not garner a bite.

This slow pattern on Oologah happened last year during the mayfly hatch. We're going through another strong hatch where they are just thick. I'm not sure if the rain and rising lake gave them lock jaw or what's going on. I do know I enjoyed beagle and Chatts company!
