    I'll have to give that a try, sounds good.
    For non fried, we will melt 2 Tbs butter in a skillet and sauté a large onion or two until about 1/2 done. Place fish on top of onions and sprinkle with cayenne or creole seasoning, cover and steam until the fish is done. We will do this with fresh caught sandies or small hybrids and you don't need to take out the red line.

    CHECrappie....why would you want to mess with perfection....you can try all those other spices and mixes, but you will certainly come back to the old original...Yellow Cornmeal, Salt, and Pepper....YEAH BOY....Ranger

    The Spicey Fish Batter for BPS is pretty good stuff. You mix up some milk and Louisiana Hot Sauce. Then dip fillets in the milk/hot sauce mix and then coat with the Spicey Fish Batter. It'll set you free!

    Ranger I know....I know....yellow cornmeal is just hard to beat but I just wanted to try somoething a little different. Looks there are some good one on here!!
