Just got off the phone with American Angler. They have discontinued the 12 volt fillet knife due to interest or lack of. Their solution to solving the problem is a ac/dc converter. You will need a 150 watt converter to make the knife run fast enough. Oh well looks like its time to buy a converter..... Ranger

I wonder if you can get an inverter with a GFCI built in. Something about 110v around water makes me nervous...

Mark, I bought a 12 volt AA 3 weeks ago off Amazon. Not saying they quite making them, just saying you can still buy one before they are depleted off the shelfs.

I guess I got lucky with my battery powered Berkley. I've had it for 3 years now. No telling how many crappie I've cleaned with it over that time. I took it this week to Canada. Where we stay there is no electric at the fish cleaning station. I cleaned 16 walleye, 15-17 inches in length every single day for our lunch. I didn't even have to replace the battery pack although I do notice it slowing down. Was thinking of buying the new lithium ion one to see how much longer it would last.
