Line preference when dippin' and riggin'

Hey guys, wanting some opinions on line preference.
Ive been using some cheap bass pro hi-vis 10 lb test on my riggin rods and 10 lb hi-vis orange line on my double dippin rods ( just cause that's what I had laying around). Fixing to reline all of my reels. What do you guys prefer for your set ups.
Looking for something to do on this cold day...

I use Power pro 10# and 15 # hi vis yellow on my rods.

Rigging Rods I have been using Trilene Big Game Mono in Solar color, and the same on my Dippin Rods. I have some 10# Vicious Hi Vis that I will use when the Trilene is gone. Remember if you use Braided line to loosen your drag up or you will break a rod tip. Also check the rod's warranty to see if using braid will not void it. Huckabee's Rods now will not warranty a rod if braid is used.....Ranger

I really like the 15# power pro in the hi vis! And a 3/16 crappie pro jig head. And then rip there lips!

Fished next to a guy vertical fishing crappie all winter that was using mono this is what i think from it. My braid saved allot of baits cause it would just straighten the hook when snagged which i liked but downfall was to think my bait fell slower and was harder to keep at depth i wanted compared to his line. These were cold water non aggresive deep fish so the slow fall may not make as much of a difference once the water warms. Another thing with the braid i like the feeling that if a real nice fish comes along i have a better chance of landing it. The stuff is super strong just my thoughts.

That's the reason they make Ford's and BMW's...each of us has a preference...not saying one is better than the other. I love the feel of a crappie "WHACK" on braid but my elbow doesn't, and I hate the wind wrap around the rod tip. I can say the samething about MONO too. The crappie "WHACK" isn't as hard, but I don't get the line wrap around the tip of the rod. It also stretches some and is user freindly on my elbow somewhat. I fish about 200 days a year or more and its all in a fisherman's preference. I have been taught by "EB" how to slingshot a jig off wood when a hang up occures and have fished for months with clients and in wood and rock and not lost a bait......Ranger

There is a line for every technique! I use mono 90% of the time but there are times I use braid! Deep brush piles in 18-30 fow and dippin thick cedar brush piles! EB

I have 5 spools of unused braid in the boat because I find it a pain in the you know what. I started crappie fishing with light mono, then switched to braid and quickly switched back to mono due to tangles on the main line, tangles at the jigs, line cutting into the spool, wraping around the rod tip, and the difficulty in changing baits. I use seaguar invizx fluoro in 10 lb and am able to straighten hooks if it comes to that and have never lost a fish due to line breakage.
