    Default 3 days on Kaw


    There is not much reporting on Kaw so here it goes. Coon Creek ramp VERY SHALLOW & really not usable. Put in at Osage Friday. Had Crappie Reaper with me. SE winds above 20 kept us close to the banks. Dropping 1/4oz jigs down in brush just wasn't producing any keepers. As in the past, there was keepers hanging on the 20ft break lines. Nothing there but fish. Ifin ya just kept moving slowly along these ya caught them. Saturday put in at Sarge Creek ramp. Pretty much same thing but West(worse) winds kept us to very few spots. Sunday,,,,, lite winds and put 40 to the knife. Most from the 11 hyway bridge rip-rap. Same bite but had to deal with whites (sandies). Water temps upper 40's.This bite can only get better. Heard there was a local putting in new brush but forgot where it was dropped. I wanna come back as our weather is turning cold & SNOW. Thanks Craig!!! You are not as bad as 'Odie'!!!! <*)}}}><

    Hahaha!!! Thanks for the report Chat. I thought we were better friends than that. Now Cricket George is another subject. Sorry George, have to get the heat off me some how. Next time you come down I will meet you if I am allowed to fish with you! Heck I may even invite George, I will bring my boat, if you know what I mean.

    I truly enjoyed my time as the Token Okie on the trip! I figured Chatt just picked out the lowliest scrub he could find and turned me into a Crappie Fisherman. I'd do it again at the drop of a hat. I really appreciate the invite Chatt! Thanks.....there is a Santa!
