Sorry I didn't introduce myself. Maybe I'll see you on the lake again. Did you locate any crappie that day? I need to get back over there after the hollidays and check out a few areas for Crappie we found while we were chasing sandbass.

BigJon,
I did better pre fishing than on tournament day. Found fish on standing timber and in brush. In tourney only in brush. Had a lot of fun anyway.
Reg 800:10-1-7 " Live bait may only be used in the body of water in which it was collected....................." If you keep minnows or shad at home in a bulk tank you can no longer take them with you to fish another location. I sometimes catch minnows from a small creek near my house a day or two before a trip and under the new law I won't be allowed to do this. Don't know how this will affect minnows bought from a bait shop.
This could be good and bad. I often go to Sooner(has zebras) and it is about impossible to bank fish up there and catch bait from the bank, and really hard in the lake. I always take live bluegill, crappie, or shad caught from another lake that has no zebras. Guides go hammer a small lake to catch shad and then go to Sooner. This would be good for the small lake that really takes a hit to the shad population. Bad for me to have to hit ponds to catch bait.
