It worked! Thanks! Went across and hugged the point at the other side and followed along the bank till the second point then more or less straight across but slightly to the left closer to the bank to the large bluff. Once at the bluff slid back over to the west side and went around the large island to my left, turned left into the river.

the shallow water for me, (and the lake is high I know) was 6 ft right off the second point. (the one before the the bluff)

    My prop thanks you also.

Saturday evening my wife and I got out and fished some on north side, we caught a couple night fishing one was 11" and the other was not much bigger than the minnow. It started to lightning towards the northwest so we headed back in. I really enjoyed talking with Frank and Robyn, they are a some great people. Hopefully the next time the weather will cooperate a little better and the rain will hold off. At least we didnt go back empty handed.

down below the dam is fun too. Big Crappie are caught there every year. They use a egg shaped cork and fish the eddys. Some days you can do no wrong. Am needing to make that trip! Good place to catch that three pounder.

I am thinking about fishing the river tomorrow but was not sure what the water is like over there. Any opinions are welcome. I live north east of fort smith and I'm not sure how much rain y'all have gotten.

I went about 3 pm till 7. Put in at Victors landing where there were approx 10-15 trailers around the ramp. Worked along the northern edge of the flooded timber and caught 4 crappie. Two nice females about 11 inches and two smaller about 8 inches. They were in 12-14 ft of water. I had two rigs. One tipped with a minnow and float set about 8 ft. The second was black tube/red head tipped with a minnow set about 6 ft. The tube caught the two females. I was drifting along from east to west.

Nice day on the lake though with a very light breeze. Water surface temp on the north side was 62 degrees in the afternoon. Coming in at the ramp showed the campground quite occupied people visiting each other and kids playing on the new campground equipment.

Wind blowing here at 17 mph though this morning at 6 am though with a forecast of blowing all day. Water still up.

After a great weekend on Wister we ended up keeping 108 in two days. 52 fish were over 1.45-1.89lbs. Caught fish double dipping laydowns and breaklines in 6-12fow. CrappiePro Big Wasshoppas was thew baits of choice. They were literally taking the rod out of my hand! Wherever the tope of the structure was thats where the fish were, I believe the fish are relating to the structure but not necessarily in it. This lake has become one of my favorites to fish. I really enjoy it down there, loving it more and more. It may be only 7,000 acres but it fishes like 20,000 acres. EB
