Lake Wister

Rigging as any jig you use double dipping w/ 1/4 oz jig head and a few drops of tite lock Jel super glue......Ranger

I rig mine texas style with a #1 wg worm hook and a 1/16th oz worm weight for bass. I use pearl, pearl with sparkle, pearl/char and some crawdad colors. Work great.

Nitro I'm considering a trip to Wister this weekend. How's the crappie bite lately?

Fished yesterday with EB and Starfish and caught over 100, keeping 50. Biggest was 1.63lb with several from 1.20 to 1.48lb. Technique was tickling and swimming Slab Bandits over wood.....Ranger

Hey Ranger I've never been to Wister so I know nothing about where to put in or where to fish.I'm going to head over Sunday and fish Sunday and Monday. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you all found some fish!! Although I am jealous of you guys fishin during the week!

Is this the lake they hang X-Mas Lights at around X-Mas time? Went to lake a long time ago that had a small X-Mas light showing.

50 years or so ago they hung Christmas lights on Quarry Island - don't know about more recent.

This was around 2003 or so.

What a great week of fishing! Monday with Huckabee on Eufaula and Thursday with EB and Ranger on Wister. Couple of great days.
