I've had a little over 5 inches of rain here during the last 24 hours, Corp website shows the lake has risen 1.67 feet, and we may get some more before the tourney. Overall, I don't really think this wet spell will have much effect on the fishing this Saturday.

Take a man hunting or fishing for a day he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to hunt or fish and he'll eat for a lifetime.Thumbs Up
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi, we're not Spartans, we're Americans. With a capital "A", huh? And you know what that means? Do you? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world."

I fished the north end this afternoon and found fish in 8-11 fow. The fish I caught were holding fairly tight to cover.
I've already had my "Sunbrella" out this spring. It sure helped keep the bulk off of me while the rainsuit did the rest. As for the spawn, it will still happen for the most. A few Crappie will not spawn and absorb their eggs. When the lakes rise during the spawn, there is so much new habitat for the spawning fish to move into that they'll be spread out. Look for buckbrush you can access that does not have a forrest of water behind it. The steeper bank end of coves help me find the Crappie when the water's high. The release of water from the dams will also have an effect and could cause most fish to have lockjaw. However, below the dam during a release can be very productive by concentrating the crappie into eddies (sp) and creating a very special area to load the live wells. Don't forget to check the eddies created on the lakes with running water passing under the bridges!

This is the best weather link I have found. It tells you everything. Temp, rain accumulation, wind, soil temp. Thought I would throw it out there incase some one else might like it.
