    Default Oologah Spawning???

I had the pleasure of meeting Crappie Hog on the water yesterday afternoon. I had been out with one of my daughters and we fared well for the day. Took home 32 over 10". We tossed jigs only and it didn't matter what color we used either. Most keepers were caught fishing a jig anywhere from 30" to 5' below a bobber in shallow water. We put in at Hawthorne since Talala Creek has been dead this last week. It's almost like the fish on the south end of the lake have already moved into their spawning patterns. I've never seen this before with the water temps still in the upper 40's.

Nice to meet you Kevin and we'll have to meet up in the Talala Creek one of these days.

Went back to same spot this morning, met Crappie Dawg, caught three worth keeping. Went ahead and left around noon. Very slow today.

    Reaper,

It defininetly was a pleasure. A couple hours after you left, the bite really turned up and I began catching big crappie on nearly every cast. I ended up with 32 nice keepers. Ten of them were over 12". Unfortunately, I got ran off by an Owl. Lol.

The Bartlet pear trees around my house are all strongly blooming. I saw a couple of other kinds trees around the tulsa area yesterday in bloom also. I dont remember things ever blooming this early and have been here for 13 years now. Maybe we will be very early this year.
