    Default Fishing guide on Grand

I was thinking of maybe getting a fishing guide next time im down at Grand. Anyone have any suggestions or a general idea of what they cost in the area?

    Biggens,

I have fished with Ivan Martin a couple times up there and even on a trip to Fork in Texas. He's a really nice guy. I would recommend him.

Yep he is great. If Tony Coatney is still guiding up there he is great also.

I think it's odd that nobody ever has a report on grand.

My report for Grand yesterday is IT WAS A ROUGH SOB!! LOL!!! We didn't get on the water til about noon when the front had just gotten through. We set out on a combo bass/crappie trip. Tried to catch a few green fish on jerkbaits first, but they weren't having any of it. Went on up to the Bernice bridge in Horse Creek and tied up and tried to catch some crappie. Those 30 mph gusts they were referring to were more sustained than gusts. Had a hard time feeling bites but did end up with a half dozen sandies - no crappie - I think they were sea-sick!! One thing I can say about a 21' Ranger, I never felt unsafe, even in the 4 - 5 footers. Tough day but still better than being at work.
