Eufaula, and cleaning crappie!
I've been fortunate to be able to fish with Barry Morrow on Lake Eufaula several times in the past few weeks. We have been finding some crappie still on the beds (on the banks) just before the last rains. Some have already moved out to deeper brush in 5 to 9 feet. We didn't catch any giants but a lot of 1+s with a few just over 2-lbs.
We've been testing a new bait, which has really been effective. And we caught a lot of fish on the X-Change jig heads using a Dancin' Crappie Tube (Roller Derby and Black Game Day).
I'm hoping to get back there next week and try some deep water tactics on the lower end. (If it clears up). We've caught most of our fish on breaklines around wood cover in creeks with a lot of water color.
I shot this video last week of the new fish cleaning table. http://www.youtube.com/lindyfishing#p/u/60/6Pm6uuguWBI
