It sounds like Todd designed a bait that matches the dragon fly larva that all the fish on blocker are full of.
The fish I caught at Blocker yesterday were all full of fish, mostly shad ... and smelly shad at that![]()
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi, we're not Spartans, we're Americans. With a capital "A", huh? And you know what that means? Do you? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world."
John Winger
In May and into June we start catching them full of dragonfly larva at Blocker. They look exactly like the bait described above with the legs and split tail. They can be mistaken for crawfish if you don't look carefully.
I dont care if their bitin sheep pooty LOL, anyone want to design that bait?
"Never Fry Bacon Naked"
will do for sure!
Never met a dead shad that wasn't! LOL
this is more like a cross between a minnow, a crawfish and a Coors Light can.
I thinnk I could prolly rise to that calling. RoflRoflRofl

OK, I finally gor pix of the elusive Whatsit grub by Lindy. They come in a 1 3/4", 2" and 2" fat size. I have only fished the 2" fat and it worked well. Here is a close up form the catalog and a page of the available colors. As I understand, they are shipping to retailers soon. One real nice feature is that they last real well.
