I think with those rules the playing field could be leveled. Sounds like a great time for a crappie fishin shindig!

Ahhhh Rats; that is my weekend to work. After fishing with Odie, working probably saves me money in more ways than one! I want to say, that CDC is awesome. It has allowed me to meet some really GOOD people. Fishing with Odie was a real treat and if him and Eufala Boy team up, well their livewell will have 7 big ones for sure! Too bad I'm working that weekend, or I'd bring my smoker/grill and we could all share some post tournament ribs and burgers. I may see if a coworker will trade weekends off with me. If I can get off, and everyone thinks it is a good idea - I'll cook ribs and burgers for everyone. This is up to Odie and Eufala boy; I don't want to mess up any tournament plans? If I fish, I'll weigh in extra early so I can get the Hickory Smoke a rollin!!! I'll send up some hickory flavored, Cherokee smoke signals! I also see in the rules, that one can't fish within 50 feet of another competitor? I'll just bring my surf rods and cast 51 feet to where ole Odie and Eufala boy are fishing!!! rofl

This little tournamnet is about the fishing and seeing the slabs come to the scales. It is not in any way about the money! If we need to make the entry $20 per boat and 10$ big entry we will. If Odie and I fish togther we will be the last ones to leave and the first ones to be back so we can run the tournament. Odie and I are going to fish a crappiemasters tournament together against the best in the nation now that will be no holds barred for us. For you that might want to know what a good weight on Eufuala this time of year? Anything from 9-12lb stringer with 7 fish! A 1.5lbs average is really good. If anyone comes to fish we are not going to turn them away! This is our tournament( CDC Oklahoma boys) for what ever the fisherman want! I am sure when we meet early that morning Odie and I will have to answer some questions?

Leland you are professional rod builder and you ask if cane poles were allowed? I am sure if it is med/hev action you would use it! LOL

Hey Brian, you never know. Remember Wally using canepoles here a few years back @ a CUSA Regional? And he's supposed to plug his rods and BPS! I was just jokin really, I have not used a canepole in 25 + years.

I would come just for the weigh in, but hopefully I am established enough by then to join in.
