Brian (EB) and I are going to put on an OK Crappie.com tournament on May 14th at Eufaula. The fee is $40 per 2 man team and $10 for big fish. 100% payback on both. 7 fish limit. Crappiemasters rules will be used. We are going to meet at Crowder ramp at 7 and collect the entry fees. You can then trailer to whatever ramp you want to launch from. You can start fishing at 8am, on the honor system. Weigh-in will start at 4pm at the Crowder boat ramp. One team member must be an established crappie.com member. For our members with a boat but no partner maybe you can find a member on here who doesn't have a boat and pair up. This is an event scheduled to have some fun and get to know each other better. If all goes well we may consider having more throughout the summer on other lakes.
Let us know if you are interested. We may even come up with some prizes other than the payback.

Odie and I have been talking about this for a while now and we decided to throw it up on the board to see what kind of BITE we get. We thought that once a year just wasn't enough. Through the years because of CDC I have been able to start new friendships whether it was guiding or meeting people on the water! The CDC Oklahoma tournament is about crappie fishing and fellowship. I absolutly love to meet new fisherman and to see big slabs come to the scales. I am going to talk to Huckabee and see if he will let us use the officail wildlife dept scales so the weights will be official. If we have 20 boats show up that would be fantastic, if we don't have any Odie are fishing anyway! EB
I'm not into tournament fishing but I can see how some folks might enjoy that. Good luck to you guys! I can come down with my fillet knife and "clean up" afterwards though![]()
I'm not up to speed on the Crappie Masters rules, can people bank fish it? And how many rods are allowed? Sounds like a winner to me. Sissy has been wanting to fish one. Good idea Brian and Odie!

I'm in! Should be fun! You have my number Doug, so if u need some help give me a call.
Was that a bite?
Oh..well..in that case...let me help you out Leland! You can only use one rod and it can't be over 6 feet in length and must be an ultra light B&M rod or UL Uncle Buck rod. You can't wade or fish from the bank and you can't take your Wife along unless she fishes with someone else. She can't be on your team. Oh...and you have to use dead minnows or jigs you've found ran over in the parking lot. I know, I know...those are some silly rules...but rules are rulesRofl
Sorry, couldn't resist that one after seeing you and Sissy's haul the other day!!
Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one not up to speed with the CrappieMaster rules. Maybe someone could post them here?
Anyway, my question is, are children allowed to be in the boat?
Here is a page I found...it includes rules for tournaments...
Crappie Masters - Rules
That was great Don. Now those rules will level the playing field. Maybe Odie and EB should fish blindfolded also. LOL
