    Default Where to clean fish?

Can't bring them home to clean. Nowhere to dump left overs. Can I clean fish in boat on lake and put remains in trash bag and leave in trash barrell or can I dump remains in lake legally? Thanks

I double bag my remains, freeze them, then put them with the garbage on day of pick-up.

It's ok to put them back in Oklahoma lakes. I don't know about the city controlled lakes, they may have a different rule.

I fillet them on a board sitting at the dock just before loading the boat. dump the leftovers in the lake. the crawdads and the turtles need something to eat.

Easier to just return to the water if you can. Bury next and I think you can burn them also.

Two great ways ...the garden loves them if you go deep enough to keep the animals from digging them.

we always put them in a paper bag and go way out on some dirt roads and throw them out for the critters to snack on if we I'm at mom and dads house but if I'm at home they get a double plastic bag and straight to the garbage can but if I'm at the lake they go back to the lake but most of the time don't catch enough big ones to justify cleaning them
    thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.
    always ready to go fishing
