    Default How long will crappie filets stay good?


    We are going on a camping trip...Anyone know how many days will crappie filets stay good in the cooler until I can get home to throw them in the freezer?

    I've kept fillets iced down real good for 3 days before freezing them and they were still good.

    yup, Just make sure there is plenty of ice, not ice water.

    after you filet em wash off good dry them with a paper towel put them in a freezer bag ice them down you can keep over week just DON'T LET THEM SET IN WATER they will be fine.
