Jigs VS Minners

Why is it every time I try fish with minners I can't catch a darn fish one but I put on a Jig and catch all the darn fish but one. for example my dad can sit right next to me put a minner in the water and catch a fish i put a minner right next to where he is about 6 inches to a foot away from his spot and won't catch a thing but I put jig down there and I start catchin them am I doing somthing wrong or what is it any help.

Maybe your just a true to heart jigger and think of the money you'll save by not
needing minners which die.

How are you hooking them? I hook them up through the bottom of the lip and when I fish with someone who does it different, through the back for example, they don't do near as good as me.

Your doing nothing wrong James, only use minners when ya have to.

For me, its just the opposite. Minnows, never leave home without them!

I have hooked them thru the lip, eye's, back, and the tail and still no good for me
