I think this picture was taken when it was first built because everywhere where you see sand in the picture is now covered up by water. You can access it on 51st street through an old dirt road. Someone told me that it was owned by allied waste management but it doesnt seem to be used for dumping purposes. This pond is huge.

Even the updated views like "Google Earth" it looks to be fairly shallow.
