I'm boatless but have had a lot of success along the rocks near the "bridge" that you go over when driving to the tackle shop. The crappie in my avatar is actually from that area.

Fly, I know where you are talking about, used to catch a ton of fish there in college by fishing along one side and then back down the other, used to be a good ammount of brush on the west side. We'll be in a boat so we will probably hit the mouth of several coves first. Might even slip over to McMurtry if things aren't happening at LCB. I used to know some pretty good hot spots over there, just hoping the wind doesn't blow too much. I won't get my hopes up too high, just looking to get out on the water.

Rain, winds ranging from E to E/SE to E/NE with Rain this weekend, and hi temps 60"s. If everything has lock-jaw, the Cats should still bite some in sheltered coves, probably out to 5 feet deep or so.
Never give up. That has been my success story. With the Hybrids and Saugeye in there you always have a chance at a great fish.
Where do you live out West. I am a Landman and frequent western OK.
