Tenkiller
Fished Sat. morning, April 10th from 7 to noon. Calm winds at first. The water was stained, which is unusual for Tenkiller. Water temp. ranged from 58-61.The fish were very scattered. The lake level had dropped about 2 feet in the last few days. I ended up bringing home 12 crappie, including five over 14", and one over 15". Let about 6 or 7 go (under 10"). Spider rigging minnows about 10 ft deep in 12-18 ft of water. Best action was near the mouth of the cove. They should be farther back in the coves by now. I tried jigs but they only produced small fish so I stuck with the minnows. Around 10:00, the wind really picked up and the fishing got tough so I came home early.
