Thread: How to fix a transducer?

Hey Guys,

Somehow, a few months ago the plastic arm of my Lowrance sonar transducer was broken. Someone either stepped on it or tried to move it and busted it, or who knows. Anyway, the part that is broken is the where the arm meets the base. The arm is what goes up and connects to the bracket. Anyway, I've tried several things to glue it back together, and none have worked. Any suggestions or ideas on what I should do besides go buy a new one, and have it all rewired into my boat?

Use superglue and baking soda. Put the super glue on it and then sprinkle with baking soda. The baking soda acts as a catalyst and welds it back together. Don't get it on your hands it will burn. This basically welds it back together. Works on any plastic. It will hold.

I guess you're good for something other than trying to show me an EXACT spot where I still couldn't get bit! I have a broken ducer that I'll try this trick on.
