Default Got a temperature sensor problem with my Elite 5 dsi

My boys have been using my stuff while I'm too far away to effectively object -lol- and now my temp reads a constant 32 on my Lawrance Elite 5 dsi. I guess I could replace the transducer and most likely cure that but I'm saving for my big screen locator right now! Anyone have any experience with this or ideas about repairing it? Thanks.

You could try searching this large thread on the Elite 5 and see if there is anything on it. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/fishi...-chartplotter/

Hate to admit this but how do I do a restart? Trying the Chatt Martin option as well but my Internet is lousy right now.

Lowrance has an online manual on their website if you have misplaced yours. It will walk you through it.

Sure glad you didn't use words like "probe". You would've left the doors wide open for ridicule. Have you asked your sons if they are launching in ice water?

Tell you the truth Craig I am walking on eggshells with those boys right now trying hard to not distract them. Last time they got flustered launching around all the rock stars they left the plug out and doofussed around the lake wondering why all my jig boxes were floating by so shhhhhh! Don't spook em- I'll fix it later, after I get home and banish them from Blue Shadow.
