If you are in Eastern Oklahoma, I can point out some great spots for them where you may not need a guide to help you catch Blue Cats.

Check out Curt Wilkerson. He guides for saugeye down on Ft Cobb and Lawtonka. I believe he has a website as well.

thanks big bone . I had a chance to visit eastern Oklahoma yesterday evening was in Muskogee for a wedding and seen plenty of water around . I went to three harbor area for the reception and noticed lots lots of boats on the Arkansas river , that's about ten minutes from my father in-laws house I was wondering if that's a good place or if there are better places in that area not too far from it since my wife wants to visit her dad more often.

I'm not real sure. Haven't fished that part of the state very often but sure would like too. Sure its pretty country out that way. I've heard of walleye being caught in the lower illinois on occasion.

If you take the bluecats out of the Arkansas river the water will drop 3 feet. Get a boat, net some shad, make a 3 way swivel rig with a couple ozs of weight and drift down the river. You should catch a few. Arcadia and Hefner has blues in them too.
