Tohatsu is a great engine. Here I'm the Ms delta all you see on the catfish farms is that engine. They literally put them thru hell 365 days a year and they continue to use them as their first choice.

The 25 Merc from BPS was in all probability made by Tohatsu. They mark them up because of the Mercury name, but you are getting the same make for less money and more HP to boot. Don't see how you can go wrong with that. When I was looking to upgrade from my 25 Mercury that came on my Tracker, if I could have found a good used Tohatsu 40 or 50 I would have bought it without a second thought.

Plus a 2 year longer warranty. Mercury only 3 years and Tohatsu 5 years.

Oh boy! Just got the call, my motor is in. Only took one week! Leaving out at 3 am for Hot Springs Arkansas to have it installed.
