Default Make your own stink bait????

Anyone here make their own stink bait? I have a 55gallon barrel that I put 50pounds sweet feed, 50 cattle cubes, 50 chicken scratch and a bunch of old beer into and its stinks to high heaven.... What do yall use? How do I thicken this up? Can I do anything with the concoction that I have?

Man, I'm glad you don't live upwind from me. That stuff has got to smell BAD! Have you got a backhoe?

Sounds like you have some super good chum for catfish! Just throw out some in likely cat spot. Buy a bucket of "sureshot" stink bait (or Danny King) and a pkg of #6 treble hooks. Wait a few hours and start catching channel cats!!! Good luck....Harley

If you scoop some out onto some cookie sheets and let the moisture evaporate, I would think it will thicken on it's own. You'll have to watch it though so that when it reaches the texture you want, can it up.

Sounds like your mash is about ready to cook!

Just add you some flour to it, that should thicken it up for ya.

It's kind of lumpy from the big grains in it what is something that would help to keep it on the hook?
