Right about now. You can catch them feeding early in the morning too. I have had luck near the bridge piers between the bank and the first bridge pier when there is a current runnin through. Sometime can catch them any time of the day when its real good. But as far as busting up on top of the water, I have noticed they do that primarily in morning and evening times, evening seems to be alot better though.
