You have the place looking GREAT Stink!! The Southern Woman and I will have to give you a visit this spring when we come to the next gathering. Looking forward to another meeting of GREAT crappie fishermen!!!
Stink - I tried to call you today to visit but now I know why you didn't answer. You had your hands full with the cabinets. Everything looks great. I know you are tired of laboring on this project but it should be complete within 30 days I expect.
Thanks all for your compliments and encouragement. Inspired me and I've gotten more done today. Should be finished with the kitchen and cabinets by this coming Saturday.
Sorry I missed your call George, but right now its hard to catch me when I'm not tied up with the work going on here. Later after I'm done, I'll have time to visit folks on the phone.
I'll post some more pictures as I get more done, thanks again.![]()
AMERICANS: Willing to cross a frozen river to kill you, in your sleep, on Christmas, totally not kidding, we've done it.
My son came over and helped me finish the cabinets Friday around noon and here are the pictures of the completed kitchen:
One more view from the other side:
I want to say a special thanks to my son for helping me complete this job. Wonderful son and even my grandson kicked in and helped!
I'll be installing a gas (propane) range pretty soon and a combination microwave/vent hood over the stove.
Right now I'm just happy to be finished with the cabinets and now I can unpack all my kitchen stuff that has been stored for (3) years.
For all intents and purposes, the house is finished except for some oak trim around the tiled area for the wood stove. Still have some railing to put up on the deck, but I will wait to do that until after I've got my furniture moved in.
Then the fun begins........ I need to start cleaning up the mess I've made outside over the last year or so and get this place looking ok. Almost embarrassed to have anyone over for all the junk cluttered up around the place.
Thanks for looking.![]()

Looks GREAT!!
Are you moving in full time now? Looking good Stink.![]()
That is an awsome kitchen Stink...you got plenty of cabinets and sounds like you have a great son and grandson.
Beautiful kitchen! I especially love that corner cabinet. Normally there's too much space wasted in the corner, but that cabinet should take care of that problem!
Thanks Don, RR and SW, appreciate your compliments. Yours too Gab and wanted to tell you I moved in last May once it was liveable. Been really dusty and hard to keep stuff clean, but it was better than living in the small building (my 10x16 workshop) which I did for almost a year.
I've been going through some of the boxes I have had stored and its almost like Christmas all over, finding things I forgot I owned, lol.
Any of you guys happen to be in the area, sure hope you let me know so I can put on a fresh pot of coffee and have you drop by. Thanks again for looking and your gracious comments.![]()
