Stink _ You are making progress on your abode. I know exactly what you mean about never doing this again. I am glad my cabin is done too. I am still in Nebraska. We went ice fishing yesterday and caught some yellow perch and some walleye. Today we are setting tipups for northern pike. Weather is chilly but clear.

I wish I was at my cabin at Antlers jerkin jaws on Hugo. It sure would be warmer.

Hey Cricket how about some pics of the perch and eyes? I don't get to see those very often and I'm sure some of the other okies would like to see as well.

Wow, you have done a lot since I looked at that lot near your place! It really looks good! I was the contractor for my house 10 years ago and I said I would never do it again, too! Now I am ready to build a cabin like yours! How quickly we forget.

Hey, if you are putting down laminate counter tops, my husband and I know how to put them down. We can either show you or help you. (Not the counter, just the laminate on top of the counter.) You just need a file and router and we have that. Let me know.

Grubby, no recent pictures, but will post some new ones soon. Had the weather not turned sour this weekend, I had planned on taking a couple..............sigh.........

Really busy now trying to get this house ready for the drywall crew coming in later this week. Maybe this bad weather is a blessing in disguise because I actually needed a break.

Plus I needed to pay some attention to the final details of our get-together and make sure it goes smoothly. One or two situations need a remedy and I've been able to spend some time on them today. Hopefully they will be ironed out shortly.

Peke, I just may take you up on your offer because I am not a laminate person and might need the help/advice.... etc... etc....

You know, I had forgotten about you looking at the lot just up the road til you mentioned it. Looking forward to meeting you and your family at our meeting.:D

UPDATE: I actually did have a picture more current than the last one posted in this thread. So, I've added it here. More to come later in the week.

I've asked Odie to move this thread over to the off-topic forum. No one has complained, but even though this is a lake cabin and I plan on cleaning many crappie there, building a house has little to do with catchin crappie.:D
