Well I made it out to the lake. Two boats were loading up when I got to Hawthorn and they neither one had caught a fish. I thought I would give it a try anyways. I got on the water about noon and fished to 330. I caught 7 fish and they were all under 10 inches. I fished about 8-10 different brush piles from 16 fow to 25 fow and just couldn't get anything going. There has been a massive shad kill. There were some large sheets of ice floating in the coves and there were dead shad frozen all in them. The gulls were sitting on the ice having a feast. The wind was a little a little stong out of the SE and they started letting more water out of the dam about 10. Lake up 2 feet since the last time I was out. Work tomorrow but may try again on Thurs.
