We know you've got em penned up somewhere close to your backyard Craig- nothing personal that you're playing us.

Heck of a catch George, sounds like you had the great day. Thanks for the report, I needed to hear somebody is killin em.

Reapers 80 year old friend is the one I'm a feared of. We've all donated to Bill and Reaper's retirement funds before on the big O. Now we have to worry about Bill and George. Not sayin you're old George, just saying you might be closing in on it. You know, we need to put an age limit on these tourneys. They're retired and all out fishin while we're workin. It ain't fair fishin against guys that fished without electronics 3/4 of their lives. I remember my grandpa used to throw out his anchor to find his brush pile. Then he would just spank me at catchin fish. i guess I should be thankful I'll have my 73 year old dad Gaston in the boat with me. I know it doesn't matter whether we win or lose, we still have a great time fishin together.

Not teaming up with Bill. Bill is still mad at me because he got into a scuffle with someone off Crappie.com that I didn't even know. The guy asked if he knew Crappie Reaper and Bill thought I was tight friends with him and that I've telling all of you about the normal "catch 'em" spots on Talala Creek. Even though I've tried calling him to explain things, he'll not answer. I've yet to corner him on the water about it and ask him why he wouldn't talk to me about it before he tossed a good friendship aside. I guess he feels that any person that is not a regular to the Talala Creek area is a Crappie.com member and I'm the one that told them they need to fish here. I gave up trying to contact him about it and figure I'll let sleeping dogs lie. Perhaps one of these days he'll come around.
I don't know what to think about it other than I cannot control his thoughts or feelings and can only worry about myself in this situation.

The man I am teaming up with for the Oologah tournament prefers to fish for Sandbass but he's fished with me several times and I introduced him the Bill some years back and they have fished together a lot. (not recently either)

I would have fished solo and just paid Papas part of the costs but checked with Doug and was informed that both people MUST be present. Since Papa can't make it, I called Bobby within 2 minutes of talking to Doug and recruited him for the tourney.

I've spent the last two days helping Bobby install a new XI5 on two boats he owns. There is a quick release bracket that will fit them so he bought one XI5 and two quick release brackets. Now all he has to do is stick the XI5 on whatever boat he plans to use for the day. I get the older TMs for helping. So, I'm going to have a 36# TM and a 46# TM in the off topic before too long. (gots to make some wages)

Scary day on the open water yesterday when the wind suddenly switched out of the north and blowing hard. We made a long plowing run to the ramp surfing the big rollers and put the boat on the trailer soaked to the skin. Decided to wait it out and went back out 3 hours later for 3 more hours. Caught 99 between 6:30-8:30, all but 12 about 9" long. The fish ran bigger in the afternoon when we caught 117 between noon and 3 with 31 over 10"- mostly 11" fish with one that went 12" so we are no threat in the tournament. Just stay away from our dink play pens and let us kids play in the sand! We have noticed that for us the bigger fish have been later in the morning, close to noon or early afternoon. Our goal was to break 200 today and not drown- turns out it was easier to accolish the first goal than the second. Big fish was a nice flathead but he went back in along with all his little friends. Catch and release all day. It's nice to have something in the freezer besides hybrids after that long high water layoff.

C ² - you need to look at that Lund. I ran for cover during a storm last week at Eufaula. Took cover under a bridge and decided to fish while I was there. 3 foot rollers were coming down the lake into the bridge. The Xi5 anchor mode had to really work but it kept me on the pillar constantly. Caught a million dinks but mine were smaller than yours.

Ikeni , I made them an offer but I guess someone else did better and it is sold. Yesterday, I really wished I had offered full price. We came very close to getting swamped more than once. It was also a bad time to discover that my bilge pump is not functioning. I am intensifying my search for a used Lund if anyone sees one for sale way south of Canada. When it comes to dinks Ikeni, size doesn't matter- a thump from a 3" fish feels the same to me as from a 9.75" fish and neither one of them will end up on my plate. So congrats on your dink fest- you never know when the next dink thump turns out to be a keeper fish. That is the anticipation that keeps me going back to the nursery......for now anyway!

I don't know what you was running from Ciller. I never moved! The fish went crazy while the wind was blowing! I crappie fished Double Creek and the west side of the lake yesterday. I was only using 4" baits and 4"live shad for crappie. I was looking for the piggly wigglies! I never found them. I have covered lots of water this past week looking for tourney fish. they have been hard to find. The 10-11" fish are abundant. The catfish are everywhere! we had a bruiser day on them! I will fish again Wednesday. I will let you guys know if i find any! I would love to see a large turn out, so i am working hard for a good report to try to get a few more people that are on the fence to come joint us. If you are on the fence, come join! We are all not professional trying to beat the next guy, but a group of people trying to have fun and meet more people!!

No clue where George has been fishing but I can promise it's not Talala Creek. I fished from 7-1:30 and caught 2 catfish. That included most of my usual haunts deep, shallow, points, brush, timber, etc and flat got skunked! I've been catching several dinks with the occasional keeper but today was just ridiculous.
