Went out yesterday early and unlike 10401 we couldn't find fish in the morning when the water was 62.9F. At noon we started finding smaller fish in 1.5-3.0 fow and quit at 5:30 with 37 in the live well up to 11.5". Threw back at least that many. Almost all males dressed in black for their honeymoons. The three 11" females I cleaned were full of eggs but no blood showing yet. They hit black and chartreuse Beaver Bottoms on 1/4 oz orange jigs until we switched to minnows which they hit better. Flooded buck brush on a gravelly bottom was the pattern. The bite was soft- I'll bet half of the fish we caught were hitchhikers. I haven't gotten used to taking pictures on the water yet so instead I will post this picture of Miss Beazley, my new fishing buddy. She likes to eat my wife's shoes and sleep on mine- kind of the perfect dog really- Crappie Cooker has a lot of shoes.....
