Penny they were running plenty of water yesterday and I'm betting today as well. It was also much clearer water than I'm used to seeing discharged from dams. I'm thinking the sandbass should be there even if crappie are not. Good luck

I fished the south end today and had a tough time. Water temp was 48-49. I had one little 9" fish take pity on me and kept me from getting skunked. I spent about half my time cruising around watching the structure scan unit. Found lots of brush but only got a couple of hits. Most of the shad I saw were 40-60 feet deep. I tried drifting jigs through the deep shad schools with no success. Very strange fishing day... for me anyway.

I drove down to the dam on my way home to see if anyone was catching anything. I watched for about 15 minutes and didn't see anything. Didn't see any stringers in the water either. I didn't go all the way to the end of the rocks so maybe those people were doing better than the ones I saw. Froggie's right, the water is really clear/green. It should be pretty good after it warms up a little.

Online at the corp website or any of the local corp offices at the lakes. If your close to ft gibson lake go into the office thats just above the dam. Thats where i get mine at.

Yep, walk into the corps office at Oologah dam. They'll sell you one. Bring cash, it's all they accept.

Went out this afternoon from about 4pm-7pm. We went below the dam first, they were running water and we watched the people there fishing. It appeared that the fishing was very slow. I talked with a few people who said they didnt even get a bite. We drove over to spencer creek and saw 2 boats fishing the south end west of the ramp. They did not catch anything while we were watching. We fished from the banks on the south side using slip bobbers with white/chr jigs. We fished at various depths but didn't get a bite. I might go out tomorrow and fish specific brush piles I find.

I went out yesterday and fought the wind at Talala Creek. I fished several of my regular spots and tried several new areas I found. Surface temp of the water was about 48 and I had one bite, one fish from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Most fish on the graph showed to be 11' to 20' down. I slow trolled and I also tried pulling some crank baits and struck out on that too. I even went up into the creek being very careful to avoid the stumps. As soon as I left the flats and entered the creek, the surface temp was 58.8. The wind made it too tough to doodle sock the brush so I venture further. The water turned from stain to strong mud and the temp was an average of 57.7. Average depth was 4.5' in the center and I thought I might find a few in there. I got one bite and it was a turtle! I left the creek, and went out to another spot that would put me in the heart of the wind. I tossed out the anchors and spent 30 minutes adjusting them to get me over the brush. I caught another two fish from 6:00-7:15 and missed three bumps.

My good friend was out there with another friend of mine. They started at daylight and caught about 5 fish prior to me getting on the water. They ended up with 13 keepers. It was a tough day.

I do think that by this weekend, we should start to see some Crappie moving towards their beds.
